Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how BusTicket.am (the "Platform") collects, uses, and protects your personal data. It applies to all users of the Platform, regardless of language version (Armenian, English, Russian).

2.1. When submitting an inquiry/booking: first and last name, phone number, email, travel date(s), number of passengers, and any additional message you write in the inquiry field.

2.2. After direct payment functionality is activated (where applicable): data related to the payment transaction. Card details themselves are typically processed directly by the payment service provider (PSP), and the Platform may not store full card data on its own servers at all, depending on the chosen payment integration.

2.3. Automatically collected data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, usage statistics via analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, PostHog, where applicable).

2.4. Data about operators. Operator data shown on the Platform (name, contact details, routes) is collected from public sources and is generally not "personal data" where it relates to a legal entity's business activity; however, where such data relates to a specific individual (e.g., a sole-proprietor driver), the relevant provisions of this Policy apply.

Your data is used to:

• forward your inquiry/booking to the relevant operator,
• contact you regarding your booking, payment, or a dispute,
• manage the automatic payment-release and fund-transfer process (see Section 8 of the Terms of Use),
• improve the Platform's operation and fix technical issues,
• fulfill legal obligations (e.g., accounting or tax requirements related to commission income).

The Platform does not sell your data to third parties for advertising purposes.

• With the operator (the carrier for the relevant route) to process your inquiry/booking,
• With the payment service provider (PSP), once direct payment functionality is active, solely to process the transaction,
• With analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, PostHog) for Platform usage statistics,
• With competent government authorities, only where required by law.

The Platform does not share your data with third parties for any other purpose without your explicit consent.

Since the Platform connects passengers with operators traveling from Armenia to Georgia, Russia, Iran, and Turkey, your data (name, contact details, trip details) may be transferred to operators based in those countries in order to confirm your booking. This transfer is necessary to fulfill the very purpose of the booking.

Your data is kept for as long as necessary to process the booking, resolve any disputes (see Sections 8.5-8.6 of the Terms of Use), and meet legally required accounting/tax obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized, unless the law requires otherwise.

You have the right to:

• obtain information about what data we have collected about you,
• request correction of inaccurate data,
• request deletion of your data where it is no longer necessary for the purposes described in this Policy and deletion is permitted by law,
• opt out of analytics/marketing-related processing (where applicable).

The Platform applies reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Once direct payment functionality is activated, payment data processing will be handled through a PCI DSS-compliant payment partner.

The Platform uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and to collect usage statistics (Google Analytics, PostHog). You can manage cookie settings through your browser.

The Platform may update this Policy from time to time. Changes take effect from the moment they are published on the site.
